It seems that this new concept introduced by Intel has created some fine, stylish and ultra performant machines. Asus UX21 is the first ultrabook to be announced at Computex in June. Since then, manufacturers like Toshiba Lenovo or Acer have made public their ultra thin and powerful ultrabooks.

Regarding its internal specs, it comes with a 11.6-inch display, a LED back-lit and aluminum keyboard, Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors:  i3, i5 or i7, depending on your option plus 4G of RAM, 64GB or 128GB SSD3 storage. The ultrabook will have also ports for  USB 3.0, headphone jack, a  mini-HDMI and mini-DisplayPort.

Asus UX21 is expeted to cost less than the Macbook Air; under $1000 with a launch date for this fall, with a possible September arrrival.

UPDATE: The company has launched the product under the name Zenbook along with its big brother, the UX31 on October 12 for $1.099.
